Share your fiction to support mental health awareness
We Appreciate and Value Your Work
Donated stories are the engine that drives this train. We understand that stories are personal and we will take our safeguarding duties seriously while your work is here. The only designs we have on your work is to make it available to be enjoyed by our monthly donators.
We are thrilled to have these works on our site and we don't require donated stories to be original or exclusive (reprints, simultaneous submissions, etc are totally fine). Each author will have a bio section with optional link(s) to where to find other work by the author.
Send us anything fiction
Brian believed stories could inspire, connect, or soothe — and that takes variety. Adventure, comedy, romance, sci-fi, mystery, slice-of-life, the whole spectrum. Stories about mental health are absolutely welcome, but please don't feel like you need to write about it just because that's our cause.
What We're Looking For
Wanting to support organizations tackling mental health issues might be the only thing our monthly donors have in common. As such, we're hoping to have a wide variety of genres in our stories.
Submission Guidelines:
- •Type: Fiction — all genres welcome (literary, mystery, sci-fi, romance, etc.)
- •Length: 2,000 - 10,000 words (very loose guideline)
- •Format: Ebook or MS Word (fully edited and ready for publication)
- •Cover: We can help you with a cover
- •Human-written: We only accept work written by humans, not generated by AI
Where Your Work Lives
Accepted stories go into the our library — accessible to supporters, not to the open web. This keeps your work out of reach of most scrapers and bots, and means the people reading it are there because they chose to support the mission. We publish a minimum of one new story per month.
What to Expect
We read everything we receive. We'll respond within 6 weeks with one of three outcomes: accepted for a specific upcoming month, accepted and held for future publication, or not accepted. Either way, you'll hear back.
If your story is accepted, we'll follow up to ask for a short bio and a brief description of the story. These appear on your author card on our Authors page, along with any links you'd like to include — your website, social media, other publications, wherever readers can find more of your work.
What Happens to Your Donation
Your donation will be put on the site behind the donator wall as an Ebook. It will be available for any donator to download. If we end up doing a yearly anthology or anything, it will be considered for that as well.
If, for any reason, you should wish to remove your story from the site, we will remove it immediately.
